RETIREMENT

I have made the difficult decision to retire with effect from the 5th April 2024.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my work for the last forty years and I thank with all my heart the many wonderful friends I have made for welcoming me into their homes, giving me cups of tea (and bikkies) and, most of all, for entrusting the care of their much loved instruments to me. I will honour all existing commitments but I will not be taking any new customers after that date.

I attended the Welsh School of Musical Instrument Making and Repair, leaving in 1983 having gained the City & Guilds in piano technology. I was awarded the College Diploma with Distinction. My customers have included schools, music teachers and professional musicians as well as private homes. I have tuned many times for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the National Trust and have twice been tuner-on-board for the P&O Cruises Music Festival at Sea. I am a Member of the Pianoforte Tuners' Association, serving as President from 2010 to 2013.
